The Golden Temple is the center of the Sikh Faith. The water from the Lake surrounding the Temple provides the healing, cleansing and ritual agent for the worshippers. Men, women, elderly and children all have an equal role in cleansing the Temple grounds. The water is methodically poured into every crevice of the sacred ground. |
